1. What We Collect

We collect three types of information:

A. Personal Information (you provide)
Name, email, password, school, academic year (if added), and payment details (only for Pro/Lifetime plans, processed securely via Flutterwave).

B. Activity & Usage Data
PDF uploads, study sessions, planner activity, points earned, tools used, check-ins, device type, OS, app version, and browser type.

C. Third-Party Data
If you sign in with Google or other platforms, we receive limited data (e.g., name, email) and referral or ambassador code usage.

2. How We Use Your Data

We only use your data to power your study tools and planner, track rewards, nudges, and progress, improve app performance and user experience, communicate important updates (via email or in-app), and process payments (via secure, encrypted third parties).

3. How We Protect Your Data

All data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and at rest. Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text. Payments are handled securely via PCI-compliant platforms (e.g., Flutterwave). We do not sell your personal data. Ever.

4. Who We Share With

We only share your data with trusted services that help run Acedly: Supabase (authentication and database), Firebase (notifications and analytics), OpenAI / DeepSeek (AI tool processing — anonymized where possible), and Flutterwave (payment processing). Each partner is vetted and bound by strict confidentiality and data security standards.

5. Your Control & Rights

You have full control over your data: access your profile at any time, edit or delete your account, export your data (on request), opt-out of emails and nudges, and request permanent deletion at: support@acedly.xyz.

6. Cookies & Tracking

Our websites use minimal cookies for user login sessions and app performance analytics (no third-party ads). You can disable cookies via your browser, but some features may break.

7. Children's Privacy

Acedly is not intended for users under 13. If we discover data from a minor under 13, we will delete it immediately.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy periodically. Major changes will be posted in-app and via email. You are encouraged to review it regularly.
